Since 1972 Languages Canada (APTAL) has been committed to providing highly efficient and effective English language courses using the most advanced training techniques. Languages Canada's APTAL system helps students to quickly speak fluently and develop superior listening skills. From the beginning of the English language courses the APTAL approach helps participants to speak better and improve their listening skills. The Languages Canada courses take special care to ensure an excellent knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.
In order to reach a high level of performance of speaking, listening, reading and writing the English language courses of Languages Canada are split into two phases. Phase one of the English language courses enable the learning and developing of skills in order to write and speak fluently and is divided into a 70% oral (speaking and listening) and 30% grammar/vocabulary (reading and writing). Languages Canada informs that the phase one course will consist of a total of 300 hours in order to reach the required standard of proficiency.
Phase two of Languages Canada's English language courses will help to boost speaking and listening skills and consolidate grammar and vocabulary. The total duration of both phases of Languages Canada English language courses will be 600 hours or twenty-four weeks. Language Canada informs students that they may participate in the English language courses for any number of weeks they wish. The APTAL system will help students to learn quickly to speak more fluently, will boost comprehension and help students to gain confidence.
The oral proficiency and grammatical knowledge of potential students of the English language courses are determined by means of a free placement test. Based on the results of the test Languages Canada can accurately identify the student's needs and recommend the most convenient level. The written part of the placement test can be e-mailed.
A Languages Canada ATPAL classroom has an intense assertive environment where people are trained to rapidly improve language skills using highly specialized techniques. The English language courses will have friendly teachers assisting motivated students on a personal basis. Students are able to record their errors and take immediate corrective actions with a positive, result-oriented attitude.
Observers of Languages Canada English language courses will see students working assertively in order to reach a superior level and this might well challenge observing students who have been used to traditional communication habits, but are unaccustomed to identifying and dealing with their language weaknesses. Observers of Languages Canada classes considering becoming students of the English language courses will not see all aspects of the ATPAL approach to language learning during just one session. The potential student is encouraged to ask questions of other ATPAL students about their experiences with the innovative system. Students wishing to observe a free class may telephone or make appointments online. All Languages Canada teachers are qualified and experienced in ATPAL English language courses. There will never be more than ten participants in a class and certificates are issued at the end of a successfully completed course.
